He

He is now 10 months old.
He loves the little cheeto baby snacks.
He loves them so much he makes noises like "mmm", when eating them.
He is wearing size 12 months clothing and is still in a size 4 shoe.
I haven't weighed or measured him this month yet.
He is down to 4 bottles a day and eats baby food three times a day plus some snacks. He has 7 teeth and hates it when we try to brush them.
He climbed out of the crib the other morning so we had to lower the mattress.
His favorite place to sleep is still not only with Mommy but on top of her.
He loves being outside.
He likes to watch the Good Night Show on Sprout TV in the evenings.
His favorite toys right now are a little tractor and a top that we brought home from Grandma Johnson's house a few years back.
Here are just a few of the pictures we had taken by Miles and Me Photography. They did an awesome job.
The hat is one we got from Old Navy. It is one of the few he will leave on his head. Reminds we me need to order a bigger one soon. Busy weekend. Busy times right now. I will continue to post when I can.

What is Going On Around Here

Around here we are impatiently waiting for Spring in more ways than one.

Around here we have a Little Tike's "Climb and Slide" in our living room.

We are almost done with calving season, with only about 16 more to go.

We took Kaleb to the pasture tonight to see the calves. He pokes his head out the window as we drive through the pasture and was giggling everytime he saw the baby calves running.

Jessica made it to All State Speech Competition with her literary program. A highlight for the year for her. We are so proud.

Kyle is getting ready to get his 4-H pigs next week.

Kaleb discovered the magic of the kleenex box, and how every time you pull one out another one comes up. Kenton and I had so much fun watching him that we let him pull them all out.

We have only about 7 weeks until Jessica graduates. Between now and then we have prom and her birthday. We are starting planning for her party. Hoping to get started on cleaning out the garage this weekend.

Planning on putting Kaleb's Easter pictures on the blog here this weekend if time allows.

He

He is now 9 months old.
He is about 28 inches long.
He weighs 21 pounds.
He is wearing 9-12 months clothing.
He is wearing size 4-5 shoes.
He has 6 teeth but has a few more trying to come in.
He is walking now, everywhere, and thinks he can run already, thus he falls down quite a bit.
He is taking 8 oz. of formula, about 28-32 ounces a day.
He loves to feed himself finger foods like his puff snacks or little pieces of banana.
He has his first real cold right now and Mommy had to stay home with him today because he had a fever and was miserable.
He doesn't like sleeping in his own bed.
He loves read books with Mommy and when I tell him to go get a book he does.
He likes to play ball.
Kenton and I both think we heard him say "Kitty-kitty" the other night.
Tomorrow we are going to get Easter pictures taken with real bunnies and baby chicks, that is if he is feeling up to it.

By the way, today is Kenton and my Anniversary. 11 years! We have both been busy with babies all day so didn't celebrate. While I was taking care of little Kaleb, Kenton has been out with the cattle all day. 8 new babies today! Here are a few pictures from a couple of weeks ago.

Jessica

I took these pictures awhile back and posted them on facebook but never got them posted here. Jessica and I went out one Sunday morning when it while it was snowing and took them.
Her Senior Year is on the downhill slide and the next few months are going to go fast. We went to ISU a few weeks ago and visited the business college there. We got to talk to the professor who will probably be her advisor and really liked him. We are starting to make plans for her graduation and graduation party. I know the next few months will go fast and be very busy.

He.

He is now 8 months old.
We are not sure but think he weighs a little over 20 pounds now.
He wears 9 months-12 months clothes.
He wears size 3-4 shoes but none seem to really fit him right and he doesn't like them.
He takes 7 1/2 ounces of formula.
He eats most baby fruits, likes the yellow veggies but not the green ones so much.
He likes the baby Gerber puffs.
He is interested in what we are all eating.
He has waved bye-bye and can clap his hands.
He furniture walks and occasionally takes a few steps but is usually in too big of a hurry and just falls down.
He can say "da da", "ma ma", "ba ba" and "na na".
He climbs on and off of his bike by himself.
He attempts to climb out of the walker and exersaucer.
He hates to get his diaper changed or to change clothes.
He still likes Mickey Mouse Club House and loves "Choo Choo Soul."
He likes playing with his ball but likes Kyle's little basketball better.
He has 4 teeth and his two front top ones are almost in thus he chews on everything.
He got a new bath tub but is scared for it to sit in the big tub.

He loves it when Daddy pushes him around in the toy doll stroller.

He is doing new things everyday!

Inspired

I had been wanting to write this post for some time. Back this fall I had the opportunity through my work to listen to a wonderful speaker, John O'Leary. His story is amazing. At 9 years old his body was almost 100% burned. He was given less than 1% chance of surviving. He went through numerous surgeries and hospitalizations, losing his fingers and suffering many scars. He spends his life now speaking, inspiring and motivating others. He is the most inspirational speaker I have ever heard. His parents wrote a book, Overwhelming Odds. They tell his story about the fire and John's recovery. I was fortunate enough to get a copy and get it autographed by John. But listening to him speak it himself is life changing. His story is not only about himself but about those people along the way who made a difference for him. It proves that by reaching out to others in your words or actions you can be the one who makes a difference in someone elses life. If you ever get the chance, go and listen to him. It is so worth the time. You will laugh, cry and leave with a new motivation and outlook on life. It is has been 3 months since I heard him speak but his story and his message are still with me. I would go listen to him again in a heartbeat. He has a magic about him that makes you feel you are really in the presence of an angel. You can read more about him at his site http://www.rising-above.com/.

He.

He is 7 months old now.

We haven't had him weighed since the first of December but he weighs somewhere between 18 lbs. and 8 oz and 20 lbs.
He is wearing 9-12 months clothing.
Most of his clothes I have bought online through Old Navy.
He is taking 7-7 1/2 ounces of formula about every 4-4 1/2 hours.
He is taking fruits, veggtables and cereal. He doesn't like peas at all.
He sleeps through the night most of the time, have some bad night here and there where he tosses and turns in his sleep. We think it is related to his teething.
He has his two front bottom teeth and is getting atleast 4 more on the top that we can see coming in.
He crawls easily now. He pulls himself up to things and can stand by himself for a few seconds.
He took one small step the other night.
He crawls and climbs on everything.
His favorite toys are his bike and fisher price keyboard that he can stand up to.
Other things he like to play with include mom's cell phone, the remote control, and the laptop computer.
On Sundays we now go help Daddy check cows.
He recently discovered riding in the clothes basket while someone pushes him is fun. It quiets him right down. Kenton finally got to the point he tied a belt to it so we can pull him around and not have to bend over.
He just started talking more last week. He can say "ba ba", "da da" and "ma ma".
He is working on waiving "bye-bye".
Daddy calls him "sledgehammer" and mommy would like to get him a helmet!
Everyday is something new for us!
